We are delighted to be working with a thriving local engineering company, supplying precision components throughout the UK, looking for two enthusiastic people to join the production team as CNC setters in the milling and turning departments.
Role & Responsibilities:
To set machine in accordance with requirements
To operate a range of engineering manufacturing machinery
To check and ensure quality of product is to standard
To complete records and documentation as required
To maintain good housekeeping standards
To report any concerns to the section leader
To ensure an effective handover to the next operator
To work flexibly and efficiently as part of the manufacturing team and to support other team members as required in all activities, to comply with quality, health & safety and environmental rules and policies
Experience o with overtime available. In addition the company offer a profit share bonus scheme and provide uniform and PPE.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Experience of setting and operating CNC Milling machines (3,4 and or 5 axis) with Fanuc and Brother experience is preferred.
Within the turning department it will be operating the sliding head machines and experience of Star or Citizen machines would be highly advantageous.
The ability to meet high standards on a consistent basis
The ability to read and accurately interpret engineering drawings
The ability to use measuring equipment such as Vernier callipers, micrometres and Trimos height gauge
The ability to identify production issues and correct accordingly
The ability to understand milling programs and adjust if necessary (optional)
Rate of Pay
£10.00 – £14.00 per hour
